The story
The I Palazzi brand arose from the entrepreneurial spirits of Elisabetta Gabri and Mauro Morello: a couple who met at school, and went on to become successful business partners. Her background is in the fashion industry, and he’s an engineer with a passion for design. And they both share a common love for beauty, in its broadest sense. In 2016 they launched the I Palazzi brand, offering a new hospitality concept on the Italian hotel scene.

From the very beginning, the goal of the I Palazzi project was to transform ancient historical buildings into real luxury hotels that would be representative of their specific urban contexts. Therefore Elisabetta and Mauro started looking for facilities, with histories to be enhanced, leading them to acquire three large hotels in three exclusive Italian destinations.
The milestones
2015
Elisabetta and Mauro acquire the Hotel Indigo building, which would later be placed under the management of Planetaria Group.
2016
The I Palazzi brand is launched, with the purchase and direct management of the first hotel: the Palace Grand Hotel in Varese.
2018
The San Lorenzo a Linari resort, on the outskirts of Siena, becomes part of the I Palazzi collection.
2019
The group adds another historic building to its collection: the Hotel Ca' Bonfadini, in the Cannaregio district of Venice.
2023
The Palace Grand Hotel inaugurates its splendid new 25m swimming pool.
2024
The I Palazzi brand develops a new concept of a luxury floating hotel by acquiring two Riva yachts: Montenapo and DellaSpiga.
